Put your OKRs on autopilot with Tability’s AI automation
Keeping your goals up to date is key to being successful with your OKRs. But getting a perfect streak of updates on every single goal isn’t always feasible– your team might take holidays or get pulled away for other immediate needs. So why not ensure that your goals will always have an update with our Tabby AI OKR agent.
Follow these simple steps to automate your OKR process to never miss an update.
1. Connect your key results to your data
You can automatically pull in your metric data in Tability with data connectors. To set up a data connector, click on a key result and select Connect to a data source:
Choose the tool you’d like to connect to and select the data you’d like to sync. In this example, we’ll get the number of opportunities from Salesforce. Finally, enable auto-sync so that your data will sync to Tability every 24 hours, ensuring that your metric is always current.
With auto-sync, we’ll include an update from Tabby about the progress that you’ve made each day:
2. Connect your project management software to automatically get updates on tasks
Don’t just sync your metrics– you can connect Tability to project management tools like Jira to sync your progress on your tasks. Connect to your Jira instance from Settings>Integrations>Connect to Jira:
Once connected, you can paste your Jira tickets into the task space in Tability and we’ll automatically pull in the title of the task, status, due date, and owner:
When you mark tasks as complete in Jira, they’ll automatically be marked as complete in Tability as well.
3. Monitor your team’s engagement
As Tability gets metric and task updates automatically, your team will still have an opportunity to add in their critical context through check-ins. Good goal updates give you the details you need to make the best strategic decisions.
To make sure your team is giving you those updates, you can set up a filter for updates that haven’t been done when they were supposed to. To create this filter, go to Filter + > Insights > Pending check-ins.
You can then save this as a segment to return to it whenever you need.
4. Ensure you’re getting qualitative insights
If your team misses a check-in you won’t have to miss a qualitative update about your goal.
You can automatically generate a check-in that will look at completed tasks, the most recent metric progress and previous check-ins to still give you a sense of what’s happening and how likely you are to hit your goal. Tabby AI will suggest a confidence color (red, amber, green) as well to feel just like your team is still there.
We recommend generating a check-in if your team has a check-in that’s more than 2 days overdue. On the key result, use the Ask Tabby section to generate your check-in:
After clicking Generate check-in, you’ll see Tabby’s update in the timeline of your key result:
Still want to get your team’s feedback on their key result? Use the comments to @ mention the team member and see if they have more to add.
5. Summarize your progress every month with one-click reports
When you’re creating monthly or quarterly overviews of your progress across all of your OKRs, you’ll tend to summarize the updates that your team gave you. Instead of reading through all of your goal updates to find the wins, the blockers, and the next steps for your OKRs, you can automatically generate a monthly retrospective with our AI OKR agent.
Go to the retrospective tab at the top of the plan and then click Create new
Populate a new retrospective with AI and you’ll automatically get a summary of your progress. You’ll be able to make changes and edits, so that you have the perfect summary for your team:
Getting good updates from your team is still what will take your process to the next level, but automating what you can let them focus on what’s important instead of how to move data from one place to another.
