# Microsoft Teams

Give your team access to Tability inside Microsoft Teams

## Overview

The Tability app for Microsoft Teams gives users access to their Tability workspace right from Microsoft Teams.

If your Tability workspace is hosted in the EU cloud, use the separate **Tability EU** package in the [EU cloud installation](#teams-app-for-eu-cloud-customers) section. The marketplace app connects to the global Tability cloud.

## Benefits of the integration

The Tability integration brings several benefits:

* **Automated sign-in:** Tability uses the signed-in Microsoft Teams identity, so users do not need to enter a separate Tability password in Teams.
* **Goals and progress in Teams:** users can view and update OKRs, create check-ins, and view or manage initiatives attached to key results without leaving Teams.
* **Instant updates:** Tability's hosted experience receives product improvements without requiring an app-package update for each release.

## Install Tability from the Teams marketplace

The global-cloud Tability app is available in the [Microsoft Teams marketplace](https://marketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/product/saas/wa200009973?tab=overview).

1. Sign in to Microsoft Teams.
2. Open **Apps** and search for **Tability**.
3. Open the Tability result and select **Add**.
4. Open Tability from Teams and complete sign-in if prompted.

If you cannot add the app, ask a Teams administrator to allow Tability in the Microsoft Teams admin center. Administrators can also distribute or pin the app using their organisation's app setup policies.

## Using the Tability for Microsoft Teams app

### Authentication

The Tability app uses the current Microsoft Teams identity. The email address must match the identity used for the Tability workspace.

### Tability subscription

You must be part of an existing Tability workspace with an active subscription to use Tability in Teams.

You cannot create a subscription from Microsoft Teams. Use the [Tability web app](https://tability.app/login) instead.

### Features

Almost all features that are available in the web application will also be available in the Tability for Teams app.

### Limitations

* You cannot update workspace administration settings from Microsoft Teams. Tability redirects those tasks to the [web app](https://tability.app).
* You cannot create a subscription from Microsoft Teams. You will need to do that from the web app.

### Teams app for EU cloud customers

EU cloud customers must upload the separate **Tability EU** package. It connects to `eu.tability.app`; do not use the global marketplace app for an EU-hosted workspace.

1. Download the ZIP package above. Do not extract it.
2. Open [Manage apps](https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/policies/manage-apps) in the Microsoft Teams admin center.
3. Select **Upload app**.
4. Upload the ZIP package and allow it for your organisation.

After the app is published, users can open **Tability EU** from Microsoft Teams.
